Inductive Sensors
Inductive proximity sensors sense metal targets. Their range is short, less than an inch, but installation is simple, and when done correctly false-trips are nearly nonexistent. A well made prox will stand up to challenges like cutting oils, sub-zero temperatures, shock, and vibration. There are a variety of mounting options available to protect the proximity sensor from weld slag and direct impact. Call us or hit the Engineer Button to get help with your applications.
Balluff Coated Proximity Sensor
The Balluff Teflon-coated sensor is the right choice for applications where weld slag regularly destroys sensors. The PTFE coating resists burning and is less susceptible to the slag building up and causing a failure.

Balluff Ring Style Inductive Sensors
Balluff’s ring sensors can detect small metal objects passing through their active window. They can be used in a variety of automated assembly applications including feed monitors for screws, nails, nuts, bolts, or many other small metal parts. The output of the unit is static, which means that it remains active as long as the metal part is present in the sensing zone.

Eaton IProx
The Eaton IProx is programmable, allowing a single part to be stocked for many different configurations. After being taught its target, it will ignore nuisance metal in the sensing area and still detect the target. It can also be programmed to be a frequency monitor for stop motion applications. Call us or hit the Engineer Button to see a demonstration.

SICK IME Inductive Proximity Sensors
The IME Inductive Proximity Sensor is our most popular prox. It is rated higher than the industry norms for resistance to electrical disturbances, like ESD and RFI; Its fully encapsulated housing gives it a higher resistance to humidity; Its superior tightening torque (up to 100 Nm) allows it to be more rigidly installed to prevent loosening due to vibration; and the hot melt filling material increases its resistance to shock. In spite of these benefits, the IME is incredibly economical. Call us or hit the Engineer Button at the top of the screen for pricing or a demonstration.

SICK IMF Stainless Steel Inductive Sensors
The IMF series of inductives meet the Ecolab IP69K standard, meaning it can stand up to 100 bar washdown, temperatures from -40 to 100 degrees celsius, and aggressive chemical agents.

SICK IP69K Washdown Proximity Sensors
Cleaning in Place (CIP) and high-pressure cleaners with aggressive detergents, acids and alkaline solutions challenge sensors in the extreme. The INOX series, with IP 69K protection, withstands even the hardest tests. High-pressure cleaning with 100 bar jets over short distances, abrupt temperature changes and corrosive media cannot affect the housing, plug connectors or connection boxes.

Sick Triple Range Proximity Sensor
The location of the sensor and the positioning of the objects to be detected cannot always be reliably guaranteed. With the triple sensing distance of up to 40 mm for the IM 30, the INOX series provides the flexibility required in industry.
